I am currently looking for two Oracle DBAs to start as soon possible with a major blue chip client located in Manchester and Liverpool.
The successful candidate will have experience in:
•Oracle 11i
•Oracle 10g
•RAC
•Dataguard
•Siebel
Daily responsibilities will include:
•Day-to-day troubleshooting of Oracle and performance issues along with fast and effective communication and escalation to management
•Rapid identification and resolution of technical issues covering hardware, software, application and third party products and solutions
•Provide advice to management with regards to Roadmaps for the environment including hardware technologies, OS, applications and database
•Creation, Configuration and Maintenance of all Oracle environments including RAC
•Creation and maintenance of Database backup and recovery procedures
•Creation and maintenance of Database DR procedures including Dataguard
•Effective management of Database space allocation
•Effective management of Database releases, ensuring risk is minimised
•Schedule and monitor Database jobs
•Develop IT initiatives to improve cost and efficiency within the business and infrastructure
•Provide management advice and guidance regarding Oracle related matters
•Responsible for Oracle security, liaising with IT Security Manager where necessary
•Maintain and refine Oracle documentation
