A fantastic opportunity has arisen for 2 Systems Designers to work within the Information and Communication Services division of one of the world's leading express b2b delivery services.
Skills Required
1) Project lifecycle experience of OOAD using UML or RUP
2) Project lifecycle experience of developing Enterprise systems using development tools (e.g. - J2EE, XSLT or SQL)
3) Sound knowledge of relational databases (Oracle preferred)
4) UML modelling experience
Roles & Responsibilities
1) Work with internal stakeholders to review functional and non-functional requirements, agreeing the interface contract between multiple systems and escalating issues where appropriate.
2) Document interfaces between services/ cross functional projects and their consuming systems, ensuring this document is signed off by all parties.
3) Work with 3rd party suppliers and internal resource to develop and review design and development artefacts to ensure standards and guidelines are followed using OOAD techniques and Service Oriented principles.
4) Assist with developing guidelines and standards for the Common Services and cross-functional Projects area, raising architecturally significant development issues appropriately.
5) Work with the Test Lead to develop standards and guidelines for the testing of Common Services and cross-functional Project areas (including automated testing), raising significant test requirements appropriately.
