Senior Unix Systems Administrator - Solaris 10, Perl, Awk, MySQL, ZFS, RAID London 50k+
My client is a leader within the Financial Trading arena is currently recruiting for a Senior Unix Systems Administrator to be based in their London offices.
You will be responsible for maintaining a Solaris environment where you will install, configure, and deploy fully distributed Solaris 10 operating systems on Sparc/ x64 platforms in several locations worldwide. Pro-active system patching, performance monitoring and tuning, automated systems monitoring for hardware/ software failures. Operating multi-terabyte storage and backup system.
The successful candidate will be degree educated have extensive exposure as a Solaris Systems Administrator with excellent technical skills with the following:
- Solaris 10 and Windows system administration
- Perl/ awk/ sed/ korn shell, dtrace and C
- DNS/ NFS/ NTP/ SNMP/ SMTP/ HTTP/ SSL/ SSH/ FTP/ GNUPG/ firewalls, XML/ XSLT
- DAS, RAID-1, 5, nested RAID levels, ZFS
- MySQL/ PostgresSQL/ Oracle/ Sybase of these databases
- Nagios or Sun Management Centre, syslog
