The team is a QUANT TRADING group utilising the bank's own funds to trade across a variety of markets. You will be working DIRECTLY with the TRADERS and QUANTS - massive BUSINESS EXPOSURE and CLEAR CAREER PROGRESSION TOWARDS THE BUSINESS*************
C++ (linux / unix or windows), C#, (SQL - oracle, sybase)
This trading is based on quantitative strategies utilising mathematical models to enable the electronic execution of trades. This typically demands a great deal of multi-threaded C++/ C# programming expertise to build complex systems to enable competitive advantage.
The position is for a hands-on, front office C++/ C# developer with the communication, analytical and interpersonal skills to handle a desk based position. You will work as part of the high frequency trading IT team, developing low latency C++ and C# trading systems. The role incorporates a level of maintenance and support of existing production systems but this is all part of working closely with front-office traders.
Unparalleled business exposure to quantitative, algorithmic and electronic trading is available, as is an industry leading training program for the right highly skilled C++ C# candidate.
Technically candidates will require a depth of programming experience in C++ and/ or C#, there are roles on the server side as well as some more GUI based positions. The platform is UNIX And candidates will also require some experience working with commercial databases. Analytical skills are very important as is the aptitude to understand mathematics from a programming perspective.
