Our client, a software house providing class leading products to the aviation and travel industries worldwide, has a permanent position for a Software Support Analyst based at their offices on the Surrey/ Hampshire border.
Offering a salary in the region of £25-£30k according to skills and capabilities, the position primarily involves technical support of our client's own software products installed at clients' sites. Typically involving in-depth diagnosis of reported problems and issues, the role may also include some travel for installation or on-site intervention.
Suitable candidates should have a degree in Computer Science, IT or similar and two to five years commercial experience of hands-on application support (or development) in a Windows PC / Server environment and good client-facing skills. You will have strong technical problem-solving abilities and an aptitude for rapid diagnosis of software and database faults and be interested in learning about software products, how they work and how to keep them running. There is scope for involvement in the software modification and development process, depending on aptitude, but this is not a requirement,
