Our client is looking for a static engineer for a large retail site in Southampton. They are looking for a immediate engineer to start the second week in September on a temporary basis with a view to go permanent.
The right candidate will have the following qualifications:
Electrical Engineer must be qualified (minimum) to 16th Edition BS7671 with City & Guilds 2360
parts 1 & 2 or equivalent HNC, ONC, or BTech qualifications
Minimum of 3 Years working in a Building Services environment and experience in the Retail
Sector would be an advantage.
Knowledge of maintaining Electrical LV Systems is essential and the Engineer must be able to
combine routine maintenance duties with reactive repairs and fault finding.
Duties will also include other general maintenance tasks that arise whilst maintaining a busy
shopping centre ie. general handyman duties and assisting other maintenance personnel.
Specific daily paperwork in relation to the job tasks and the support of the PPM regime must be
carried out in a timely fashion and to the Building Services Managers direction.
Specific Tasks - but not limited to:-
Safe working practises in line with TFM QA and H&S Procedures on
415v Distribution and Sub-Distribution Systems
240v Small Power and Lighting Systems
Emergency Lighting Systems & Testing
ELV Systems such as Fire Alarms and Testing
Life Safety Systems including Smoke Control
Access Systems and various Controls Systems
Mechanical Control Systems
Voice/ Data Systems
Salary is dependant on experience however looking to pay £26,000 neg
