To design, provide and deliver embedded systems and hardware designs, covering discrete areas such as : architecture & networks, displays & controls, navigation, communications, sensors, armament control, data handling & storage, defensive aids and data fusion & mission management. Is likely to be a key individual in major contract or area of activity. May have a supervisory role of a small team of professionally qualified individuals. Professional, financial and business judgement required in role.
Additional Information
Additional Systems Engineering effort is needed to complete and document aspects of the design as we approach the Equipment Acceptance Trial (EAT). The individuals would be part of the existing Systems Engineering team working closely with other teams within the project as appropriate. Tasks within the team can be adjusted to suit the specific skills of the members.
Specifically, help is needed for the following two areas:
Systems 1
Updating Technical and procurement specifications for COTS equipment, (critically to get technical requirements up to date, which is required by the Integration team as part of acceptance activity)- Updating / collating Interface Control Documentation for / from suppliers (needs basic DOORS capability or a willingness to learn)
Collation of CDRL data for customer presentation, from ICD data
General support to SE team as required, in particular design maintenance tasks.
Systems 2
The FALCON system has 11 laptop types, assistance is required to document these, specifically the software builds. (This is a shared activity.) general support to integrations (for which relevant domain knowledge would be particularly useful i.e. of TCP / IP systems)
General support to the SE team (to permit others to provide additional support to integrations)
