Based in Basingstoke, the company prides itself on exceptional customer service, world-class products and engaging partner programs.

Due to unprecedented growth the company is looking to expand its technical support team with the addition of a highly motivated, well-organised and experienced Technical Support Supervisor.

THE ROLE

As the Technical Support Supervisor your main duties will be to run the day-to-day activities of the technical support team, ensuring that the team deliver top class 12-hour technical support to customers across the world though primarily in the EMEA region.

The role will include liaising with the USA support and engineering teams to resolve customer issues in a time efficient manner as well as managing the growing UK based support centre staff. As the Technical Team Supervisor you will need to organise and prioritise the teams time, arrange their internal training requirements and assist in the recruitment of new support staff.

THE PERSON

The ideal candidate will have good working knowledge of IT security, email systems and Internet based networks. IP network literacy and Unix/ Linux is essential whilst. Microsoft knowledge is desirable.

A strong technical understanding of one or more of the following protocols is desirable:

- SMTP
- HTTP/ HTTP Proxy
- SSL
- SMB

This role requires a highly motivated individual with excellent time and management skills. Experience in the management of support teams is essential including staff interviewing, hiring and releasing. The person must also have excellent communications skills and the desire to deliver high customer satisfaction levels.

Previous working experience within a similar role is essential.
