My client specialises in producing software for financial systems, predominantly in derivatives and risk analytics, as well as those of their Investment Banking and Hedge Fund clients
They are looking for a talented Python / SQL developer to join their renowned Architecture team developing financial systems for the Capital markets department. The work here is mostly front-end, but will require a fair amount of database work and interaction with backend services.
The ideal candidate should:
- have delivered complex web solutions using Python, PHP, Perl, or Ruby on Linux/ UNIX;
- be very familiar with SQL, either PostgreSQL (what we use), MySQL, or Oracle;
- have used at least one web framework (CakePHP, Django, Rails)
- have used AJAX/ Web 2.0 “stuff” (JavaScript, Flash, etc.); and have used one or more open source web programming toolkits (Ext, Scriptaculous, etc.).
My client has a huge presence in Europe, Asia and the Americas; hence the opportunities for career progression and working abroad are transparent and largely unrivalled. NO PREVIOUS FINCANCIAL EXPERIENCE REQURIED although would be preferred.
