Leading consultancy firm seeks a flexible Digital ASIC Design Engineer alb eto undertake a role involving some travel. Technical skills include: Digital, ASIC, FPGA, IC, SoC, Design, RTL, VHDL, Verilog, verification, synthesis, wireless, LTE, PHY, 3G, semiconductor.
Our client is an award-winning consultancy firm seeking a Digital ASIC Design Engineer to strengthen their Wireless Technology team in Cambridge.
As part of this team, you will work directly with clients on a variety of assignments, providing insightful and innovative technical consultancy, developing creative technical solutions as well as maintaining and strengthening customer relationships. The role requires a self-motivated, flexible individual able travel throughout the UK and occasionally into Europe.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in a relevant specialty and have a strong technical background in:
·Digital ASIC Design with VHDL (Verilog is an advantage) especially within PHY/ L1 Wireless Communications technology development
·An understanding of what makes a complete product work to deliver "right-first-time" solutions efficiently.
·A good grasp of electronic design from concept through to production.
·Expertise in microprocessors/ controllers and peripherals
·Experience of working to wireless communications standards (3GPP etc) and an understanding of evolving standards
