Main Purpose of Job:
Provide day-to-day IT Administration and Support services.
Key Responsibilities:
+ To provide IT Coordination, Support and Administration of the Microsoft Windows Networks
+ To manage the security of the Microsoft Windows Networks through efficient systems administration and control of user access, including the gaining and maintenance of Government Accreditation for the management of data up to the appropriate security classification for the system.
+ To supervise and maintain the telephone system and attached equipment ensuring it functions effectively.
+ To manage the provision of technical support, assistance and advice to users of equipment attached to the Networks in person & by phone.
+ Liaise and co-ordinate IT requirements across 3 UK sites.
+ To provide the administration of on-site and off-site back-up services.
To assist in the provision of Configuration Management services, including the selection, set-up/ installation and support of the Configuration Management tools.
+ To ensure that accurate IT records are maintained, including details of all licencing, detailed inventories and user support requests.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
+ Knowledge and Experience of Microsoft Windows Network Set-Up and Administration.
+ MCSE Qualified would be an advantage.
+ Experience of Microsoft SharePoint would be an advantage.
+ Knowledge of network infrastructure, switches, routers, Checkpoint Firewall-1.
+ Knowledge and experience of the Set-Up, Maintenance and Administration of IT Networks accredited to handle data up to the Ministry of Defence ‘Secret' Security Classification.
