Currently I am looking for a Sharepoint devolper for one of my major clients in The Hague.
Job Description:
The Intranet team are creating a new version of a Tube, the internal commutations multimedia directory. The directory will be used for both Video and Audio (Podcasting). The new Tube will be based on the Codeplex Podcasting kit (http:/ / www.codeplex.com/ pks).
The project is intented to to be an agile development, using the existing pks and the Tube as the basis of the development.
Key tasks:
·During Design phase (Stagegate 3) this role will:
o Assess the pks, and support the development of the sprint plan
· During Develop & Prepare to Deploy (Stagegate 4) phase this role will:
o Development using the PDF Agile development method
o Development of project documentation and handover to support.
· During Deploy & Stabilisation phase (Stagegate 5) this role will:
o Supporting the deployment and stabilisation.
Deliverables:
For each deliverable it has been identified if the role is Involved (I) or Accountable (A) for it:
* Design: Assessment of the PKSDevelopment of the sprint plans I
* Develop & Prepare to Deploy: Development in line with the sprint planDocumentation and handover to support (AA)
*Deploy & Stabilisation: Supporting the deployment and stabilisation.(I)
Skills and Competencies:
1) Experience C# Developer, ASP.NET experience an advantage
2) Development experience in the full range of SharePoint components:
a. MOSS and WSS Object Models
b. The SharePoint Solution Framework
c. The Enterprise Search Object Model
d. Features, Stapling , Site and List Definitions, Event Handlers, Web Parts, Content Types, Timer jobs, Master Pages, Workflows, CAML, Business Data Catalog
3) Excellent understanding of the SharePoint architecture:
a. Lists, Sites, Site Collections, Web Applications, SSPs, My Sites
b. The Templates "hive" and the use of 22 folders and shared server resources
c. Excellent understanding of the concept of "Ghosting"
4) Understanding of the issues that surround scaling solutions for use by large numbers of users:
a. Familiarity with the capacity planning documentation made available by Microsoft as it relates to developers
b. Familiarity with best practices when it comes to developing on SharePoint
5) Experience working in a team, with Source Control, and using AGILE development methodologies
6) K2 Workflow experience an advantage
