Currently I am looking for a Intranet assistant Architect for one of my major clients in the Netherlands.
Job Description:
The intranet team has a range of projects it is working on this year:
- Migration of SAP portal to My Site
- Implementation of a SharePoint/ K2 based workflow for internal communications
- Implementation of a global directory of services
- Implementation of a new internal video and audio platform
- Implementation of a Blogs platform
The intranet team is also investigating the use of metrics within SharePoint for all these projects, and evaluating and assessing the use of Social Networking within the company.
The Intranet Architect is responsible for the overall technical Architecture of the Intranet, and the internal communications tools. The Assistant's role will be to support the Architect.
Key tasks:
The key tasks of the Intranet Assistant Architect will be to:
- Investigate potential technical solutions
- Create Proof of Concepts for potential technical solutions
- Document the technical solutions, and overall Architecture
- Deputise for the Assistant Architect
Deliverables:
Specific deliverables will evolve through the assignment.
Skills and Competencies:
1) SharePoint (MOSS2007/ WSS 3.0) Infrastructure Experience, including the SharePoint Solution Framework
2) Proficient at writing and editing Technical Documentation
3) Expert in SharePoint end user functionality, including SharePoint Designer, and associated Workflow designer
4) Experience working with DataView Web Part, Site and List Templates.
5) Experience in structured troubleshooting and problem resolution.
6) Experienced in the specialised demands of an Enterprise environment
7) Interest in Enterprise 2.0 and relevant Web 2.0 technologies like Wikis, Communities, Podcasting, Blogs, RSS, etc.
8) Excellent communications skills and experience gathering requirements
