A Front end coder with XHTML is required by leading creative agency. The purpose of this role is to produce exceptional front end code and designs and to lead and develop a team of experience designers.

Job Description:
To provide superior service to the business by:

Leading the Experience team, interpret client business needs and translate them accurately into front end code and designs within the constraints of cost and time by developing and delivering original and innovative responses.
Working closely with other senior members of the Creative and Technical teams to conceptualise innovative responses to briefs and develop campaigns.
Working to ensure process and procedure is followed by the team and between the designers, Studio and other teams within the Agency.
Working closely with design and artworker teams to ensure consistency and fit and also efficient and effective project management.
Communicating frequently and clearly with internal stakeholders, particularly other members of the Creative and technical teams, traffic, and account handling.
Ensuring quality control throughout the project life cycle for all members of the team.
Effectively leading and managing the experience team.
Accurately estimating resource requirement and cost, ensuring they fit within the brief.
Communicating frequently and clearly with internal stakeholders, particularly other members of the Creative team, scheduling and account handling.
Ensuring proper timekeeping is kept, particularly with respect to timesheet and job bags, for own work and that of the team.
Working closely with the senior members of the Technical and Creative teams and HR on appraisals, recruitment, freelancers, training, performance management, Grad programs, and other aspects of development.
Other responsibilities as assigned including periodic attendance at client meetings and on-site problem solving, as necessary.

Exceptional XHTML (compliant to at least AA-standard according to W3C)/ CSS and Javascript skills
Strong written communication skills

Skill - Must haves
- Valid semantic accessible (X)HTML and CSS
- Good knowledge of cross-browser compatibility
- Solid Javascript knowledge (incl. libraries, preferably jQuery and Prototype)

- Image Editing
- Knowledge of up-to-date coding techniques (e.g. no table layout, SEO friendly image replacement...)
- Experience of working parallel on a project with other frontend and backend developers
- Writes easy-to-understand, clean code
- Ability to deal with tight deadlines and heavy workload

Nice-to-haves
- Experience with subversion (SVN)
- Basic understanding of PHP (within Zend Framework)
- Communicative personality
