Position: Systems Engineer – Support Naval Systems
Salary: £26-£36,000
Location: Portsmouth

This is an excellent chance to join one of the UK’s leading Defence Engineering businesses operating at the forefront technology.
This role requires and experienced all rounder who will take responsibility for the Support, Integration and Management of COTS equipment into an existing Naval Machinery Monitoring System.
Key responsibility areas:
·Investigate reported problems, with the aim of rectifying the problem, in-house or on-site
·Maintain configuration control on hardware and drawings of both Lab & Submarine
·Write and design tests to prove system; theoretical and practical
·Take part in trials to prove System in-house and on site
·Design and implement new equipment as required eg obsolescence, new requirements etc
·Perform feasibility and obsolescence studies to support the systems
Key Skills
·Experience of PCs (construction and configuration of hardware and software, use of MS Office tools etc)
·An understanding of Engineering Lifecycle Management processes
·Design of tests to prove requirements or system changes, use of test equipment
·Taking an innovative idea and putting into practice
The role requires motivated individuals who are flexible and able to work under their own initiative, as you will be working to strict project deadlines.
