Duties will include: providing management oversight for all phases of the construction project, including coordinating and planning requirement of labour and staff resources, material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. The role will also involve: Maintaining Company Standards, whilst respecting and reflecting the abilities and aspirations of the tender team, project team and local culture - Managing and supervising Planning Manager and Senior Planning Engineers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordination of the planning staff and ensuring that individual project programmes comply with the strategic requirements of the project. They must ensure consistency of programmes and progress reports throughout the project, preparation of initial strategic master programme based on development concepts, advising client/ developer on programme for developing phases of the project, feedback to client/ developer on effect of proposed changes, assessing impact of delays and changes to on going area of the project, liaison with staff from development marketing / design / construction, advising planning staff on production outputs. They will also be responsible for monitoring progress, preparing client and internal reports, preparing programme to completion, preparation of time impact analysis programmes as supporting documentation for claim. Applicants must have previous planning experience with a main contractor and should be proficient in the use of Power Project planning software.
