AIX UNIX Server Support Engineer, West Malling, Kent. You will have experience supporting UNIX based servers, preferably within an enterprise environment of at least 100 servers. You will be part of a team of Technical Systems Managers at varying levels, acquiring the skills required to provide contracted support services to clients. Candidate must be proficient in IBM AIX as their primary UNIX skill. Virtualisation (VIO) skills is also required, an accreditation would also be an advantage. Personal attributes should include good self management, ability to work without constant supervision, aptitude for problem solving, ability to learn new technologies and ability to work to strict deadlines. AIX Certified Administrator (5L v5.2, v5.3). Experience should include, pSeries LPAR administration, TCP/ IP Administration, TSM (Tivoli) and other IBM Storage skills would be an advantage. Good technical understanding of another unix operating system (Solaris) Disaster Recovery experience. You will need to gain SC Clearance for this role.
