Services Team Manager to join an extremely reputable company.
As the Team Manager the aim is to take ownership of the applications and
systems withing the remit of the Asset and Integration Services team. The
ideal candidate needs to effectively manage and operate 6 Skills Groups of
development experts across the disciples of operations, field working, asset
management and Enterprise Integration.
Key Accountabilities:
- Recruit, motivate, train and develop staff.
- Lead the area in innovative thinking and provide strategic leadership in the
areas of Operations, Asset Management, Field Working, Telemetry and Enterprise
Integration.
- Direct, manage and monitor a breadth of resources to ensure provision of
effective development capability to the Application Support Centre when
required to perform support incident fixes.
Experience Required:
- At least 5 years experience, preferably in the Utilities sector.
- Direct experience of Asset management, Job management, Telemetry, & EAI,
ETL, SOA, CRM and Integration technologies, as well as ERP using SAP. Full
application life cycle management using the agile development methodology would
be an advantage.
- Knowledge of the end-to-end change process and a wide variety of development
languages, packages and platforms.
- Experience of implementing and using Application Development Methodologies.
- Experience of managing teams and resource centres of 15 or more people.
In order to succeed in this role it will be expected that you will have:
Strategic Perspective:
Is able to set and deliver a vision for the Operations and Integration
Services area.
Commercial:
Is able to structure and manage relationships with internal and external
parties.
Planning:
Is able to effectively forecast and manage the rotation of resources to and
from the Asset and Integration Services area in order to provide the agreed
service.
Delivery management:
Experience of software delivery, project management and IS process
improvement. Lean Agile with Scrum, DSDM, PRINCE experience would be relevant.
Qualifications:
-It is desirable that the ideal person will be educated ti degree level but
this is not essential.
