Job Purpose - You will be responsible for turning requirements into software designs. You will also be responsible for the development and maintenance of design documentation and negotiating technical requirements with various stakeholders.
Essential to the job -
Degree or (relevant industry experience ) in technical course or related subject.
Demonstrable experience in design of high volume transactional internet systems. E-Learning a bonus.
Demonstrable experience in software development.
Good knowledge of UML, Design Patterns and Use Case based techniques.
Knowledge of internet and networking technologies and protocols.
Ability to work to tight deadlines in a technical environment.
Excellent analysis and design skills.
Excellent technical writing skills.
Desirable for the job:
Experience of building enterprise applications exploiting multi-tier architectures.
Knowledge of online education implementation standards such as LMS and SCORM
Experience of two or more development processes, e.g. Prototyping, Agile or RUP.
