An experienced J2EE software engineer with excellent
communication skills to deliver high quality business applications.
currently seeking a Software Engineer (SWE) to work in the Business Applications (BA) Department.
Duties:
The BA Department is responsible for the design, development, implementation, maintenance and support of high-quality software applications for the RIPE NCC's external and internal business processes.
The BA team continuously improves the software development process by refining procedures and adopting common industry best practices and tools. New software is written in Java, so we are looking for an SWE who has worked with high-performance J2EE Java applications. Most of the service infrastructure is UNIX-based, so the applicant must also have experience of maintaining UNIX applications.
Qualifications:
In addition to the general qualifications that you can find on our website, we are specifically looking for someone who has:
Excellent understanding of Java platform (J2EE)
Understanding of JBoss and EJB3
Good UNIX experience
