Job Title: EN AS9100 - Quality Engineer
Department:Operations - Premium Interiors Value Stream
Responsible to:Operations Director
Overall purpose:
Ensure that products despatched meet the customer acceptance criteria and have been produced in line with the relevant manufacturing instructions / specification.
Maintain and further develop the business processes and Quality procedures to meet the requirements of ISO 9001:2000, progress successfully towards EN AS 9100.
Key Responsibilities:
·Internal, External and 3rd Party Audits (Including both customer & supplier), maintain the company ISO 9001:2000 accreditation and in time EN AS9100.
·Goods Outwards & Goods Inwards Inspection (Including all documentation).
·Maintain database for Non Conforming Product and implement improvements techniques to reduce external rejects and internal rejects.
·Reduce the overall ‘Cost of Quality’, improving gross profit margins.
·Prepare Quality Plans as required and fully participate in the ‘Integrated Design & Build’ process for new product introduction.
·Motivate all employees and lead by personal example, developing a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
·Proactive member of the Operations Team, carrying out whatever duties are necessary to achieve the SQCDP objectives.
Personal Requirements:
·Good knowledge of the EN AS 9100 Quality Management System.
·Recognised qualifications in Quality Management Systems to include Lead Auditing.
·Computer literate, Windows based.
·A good team player with a flexible attitude to work load.
