My Client is one of Britain's fastest growing software houses who are expanding in all areas. There are the world leaders in developing commoditise trading platforms.
They are an industry leader in developing real-time mission-critical internet trading systems. Its flagship product is a generic transaction system that brokers, exchanges and traders can adapt to perform electronic trading in various markets, from commodities and energy to credit derivatives and foreign exchange.
This is an exciting role for a young talented tester who wants to make a real impact and has aspirations to lead teams in the future.
Responsibilities
•Test newly developed software, existing software upgrades and deployments to ensure quality is maintained. Use tools such as Test Director and QuickTestPro to enhance testing efficiency
•Work with clients to help capture/ transform requirements into test specifications, and diagnose defects
•Use risk based analysis to identify vulnerable areas of the software. Use creativity and ingenuity to uncover software faults
•Raise, prioritise and track defect reports through to conclusion.
Skills and experience
•Degree in a science or engineering discipline (2:1 or higher). ISEB foundation certificate (desirable)
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
•Complete understanding of the V-model of testing
•Practical experience and understanding of using SQL (ideally with SQL Server), networking (TCP/ IP) and computer hardware
•Prior experience of using GUI regression tools, test management tools, scripting for test automation and XML (desirable)
