Senior Civils Planner / Project Planner
Our client is a major international diversified construction contractor, with a reputation as a market leader. They have a diverse portfolio that includes projects within the rail, civils, construction, infrastructure and PFI markets. They are one of the top 20 building contractors in the world, and one of the top 5 in the UK.
They have recently won a major project in the North London area and are seeking a Senior Planner with civils experience to join their team. This is a heavy civils/ construction based project.
Essential skills:
-The ideal candidate will have spent a minimum of 4 years working as a planner
-You will have at least 2 years heavy civils experience, in a planning capacity
-You will be proficient in the use of P3e planning software, and have experience of using it in a commercial environment
-Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be communicating with Senior Planners and planning staff, project engineers and project managers internally, and both clients and other contractors externally
-Experience of planning large projects with values in excess of £10mn
-You will be a hands on planner, but also be able to demonstrate management capabilities. As the project develops, this could fall within your remit
You will work within the planning department, and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
-Earned Value Analysis
-Costing and forecasting
-Creating detailed project plans
-Progress monitoring and progress reporting
-Risk assessments
-Valuation
-Communicating with the planning department internally, and clients and contractors externally
