Our client, already a market leader in IC design and image processing technologies for LCD flat panel TV, has set its sights on the cellular market and is now seeking an experienced Digital SoC Architect to join its newly established R&D centre in Cambridge. This is an exciting opportunity in which you will play a pivotal role in the definition of cellular designs that will underpin the company's success in breaking into a new market.
This key hire will work alongside a team of highly experienced engineers in the Algorithms and ASIC development group. Here you will be responsible for the architecture definition, design, implementation and verification of digital IC hardware modules for leading-edge wireless communication systems. Some occasional travel France and / or the Far East may also be required.
Successful candidates will have:
-A degree from a good University in Electrical Engineering or related subject
-Several years experience in digital ASIC design
-A strong background in digital system architecture
-VHDL/ Verilog expertise
-RTL simulation experience using ModelSim and/ or NCSim
-Knowledge of 3GPP cellular communication systems is highly desirable.
-Excellent communication skills and a passion for team work
-Ideally some prior experience leading a team.
