Software Engineer with strong object orientated software development experience (ideally C++ ) and a scientific computing background to work on the design of applications and models encompassing computational aerodynamics software, wind tunnel models and aerodynamics databases amongst other things.
Position: Scientific Software Engineer.
Location: Bedford, Bedfordshire.
Salary: £25-38k.

Key Skills: C++, STL, Linux or Unix, mathematical background, scientific computing.
Suitable software engineers should be qualified with a good degree in Software, Engineering, Electronics, Maths, Physics (or similar), he or she will have at least 2 years experience developing Object Orientated applications in a scientific computing environment, ideally with C++ but other languages such as Java considered. A strong mathematical background is essential, experience in any of the following would be advantageous: Knowledge of parallel processing using MPI, Linux or Unix, CFD, mathematical modelling, mesh generation or aero-acoustics.
