Lead Engineer (Transmission Design and Provisioning); Prague, Czech Republic. Required to join a leading European Networking Company.
The purpose of the role:You will be required to work with the Engineering, Service Delivery and Operations teams in order to ensure the efficient and cost effective delivery of high quality services to my clients customers.
The main responsibilities will include: Design and Implement customer SDH and DWDM services; Technical Support to the Transmission Design and Provisioning team; Escalation point for Technical SDH and DWDM customer issues; Assists Management with definition of best practices; Identifies and drives technical and process improvements, etc.
The skills required for this role include: Excellent experience in a complex transmission provisioning environment; Very good understanding of DWDM, SDH, and OTN standards, underlying technology and networks; Good understanding of network operations and service delivery environments;Understanding of Telco service layers (Frame relay, ATM, VPN, VoIP, xDSL). Also, experience of Alcatel, Ciena and Infinera platforms is an advantage-but not essential.
