Sox IT Analyst, Banking , City of London
SOX GM & Europe IT BAU Analyst Director, Global Markets,IT Service Delivery,
Operational Control and Governance
Responsibilities:
Working with the SOX GM & Europe IT BAU Manager.
Key responsibilities break down into a number of areas:
• Maintaining SOX Compliance:
o Maintenance of Continuous monitoring/ ITCEQ/ ITGC Sign-Off processes performed throughout the year to attest to SOX compliance
o Provide evidence and support to the internal and external audit teams in order to attest to SOX compliance
o Perform SOX Approvals as part of the Change Control process
• Process Remediation:
o Create & maintain SOX requirements for remediation to central processes (Access Review/ Change Control/ etc.)
o Liaison with process groups to ensure SOX requirements included where possible and tactical initiatives started where not
o Monitoring of projects & tactical initiatives against SOX deliverables
o Facilitate the changing of operational procedures, if necessary
• Application Remediation:
o Work in tandem with BAU teams to identify & action remediation work
o Monitoring of application remediation work against SOX deliverables
o Review & Accept application deliverables
• General:
o Identification, resolution and escalation of all project relevant risks/ issues
o Provision of status updates and reporting information to senior management
o Liaison with all internal/ external contacts to provide all necessary management information
o Provide general assistance to other members of the team as required for audit point closure/ other tasks when prioritised
o Provide cover for team members/ leader as required due to holidays/ sick leave
Pre-Requisites :
Awareness of SoX / Basel 2 / Audit
Ability to communicate with senior management, users, 3rd party vendors, auditors, etc.
Good documentation skills and experience with Microsoft Office/ Visio/ Project tools
Experience with user management and reporting tools
Experience of SQL, Sybase and Oracle databases
General IT infrastructure knowledge including Windows, UNIX and (preferably) VMS / AS400
Minimum of 3 years working in a banking/ pressurised environment
Willing to work to strict deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills
Preferred
Knowledge of Visual Basic for Applications under Excel &/ or Microsoft Access
