The Role
My client urgently requires a Contracts Manager to run a wide range of projects in the Bedfordshire area, ranging in value from £20m to £35m. The main focus of my clients business is the new build market, especially commercial, industrial and educational buildings.

The Company
A privately owned group, established in 1972, that operates as a regional construction and development organisation based in Bedford, with an annual turnover now approaching £150m. The projects they undertake range in value from £5k to £72m, and are across the whole spectrum of industry sectors.

Duties
The Contracts Manager must have the ability to manage the project on site and for the efficient execution of construction works in accordance with the agreed methods, standards and programme. Other duties will include programming works, co-ordinating and monitoring subcontractors, ensuring that works are completed to the specified quality, and that the contract KPI's and targets are met.

Package
The ideal Contracts Manager can expect to be rewarded with a salary of up £60k per annum depending on experience. Along with this excellent salary a car or car allowance, health care and pension can be expected. A construction related degree is preferable with a good knowledge of H&S regs and QA procedures also desirable.
