A BRILLIANT SERVICE NEEDS BRILLIANT PEOPLE
RSA is looking for a data expert to help provide a range of world class data management and support services for our leading insurance business. As a Data Management and Quality Specialist you will manage the absorption, rationalisation and automation of manual data transport and cleansing activities, including undertaking business analysis of data quality issues, identifying the root causes of these and developing options to address their successful resolution.
This role can be based in either Horsham or London, with frequent travel to the other site required as part of our far-reaching team.
This is a high-impact role with a great deal of visibility, and we are only looking to hear from the best. If you have the necessary data expertise, a passion for working with a market leader and a hunger to work making real improvements to a business, then we would like to hear from you.
SO WHAT DO I NEED?
·Effective stakeholder management skills supported by experience of successfully working in a project orientated environment
·Expertise with any of: SAS, Base 9, IBM Information Server, DataStage, ProfileStage
·Hands on experience in developing ETL routines or undertaking data profiling
·A good understanding of data governance procedures and processes and how data is used in pricing
·Well developed knowledge of information management concepts, best practices and an evidenced appreciation of data warehousing tools
·Responsive thinking with a proactive service mentality and the ability to communicate credibly whilst simply explaining policies and procedures at all levels

WHAT RESPONSIBILITIES WILL I HAVE AS A DATA MANAGEMENT AND QUALITY SPECIALIST?
·Clearly articulating the importance of effective data management and governance for the business to be successful
·Acting as a key contributor within a team of data management and quality professionals for the definition, ongoing development and use of effective business processes in the identification of data quality issues, their root causes, and options for their resolution
·Providing high quality data management services, including ETL development, interface monitoring, reconciliations, data profiling and quality reporting
·Maintaining external sources of data and contributing to data development projects including the specification of pricing data requirements
·Helping to develop and manage the UK data governance framework, including data ownership, stewardship, master data management and effective use of data standards
·Ensuring that data management solutions are compliant with regulatory policies on the access, storage and use of data, and working to drive knowledge sharing across the team
