As Lead Test Engineer you will be required to have a strong testing background and the ability to communicate effectively.

Position: Lead Test Engineer
Location: Hertfordshire, London
Salary: £18K - £25K
Qualifications: Strong degree in Computer Science/ Related Discipline OR 3-4 yrs relevant experience
Key Skills: 3-4 years of experience in embedded software, proficient on MS Office, Visio, MS Project, 2D/ 3D graphics programming knowledge
Desirable Skills: Background in 2D/ 3D graphics.

This role demands a strong testing background, a work style that reflects foresight, analysis & logic, systematic & orderly planning and attention to detail; an ability to work alone, reliably & responsibly; exercise an engineering judgment on the testing issues in a delivery, have excellent communication skills & a strong customer focus.

Responsibilities on the Lead Test Engineer will include:
• Test planning, tracking and reporting on software developed.
• Developing test specifications, test procedures and maintaining test documentation.
• Work as part of a team and jointly responsible for assisting with test activities.
• Tracking of test plans and test schedules.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of testing issues within a project.
• Implementation of test methodology and processes.
• Record problems and issues on the defect-tracking tool.
• Undertake project planning with team members to contribute time estimates on software testing.
• Responsible for control of test configuration and environment.

Experience in the following would enhance your application for Lead Test Engineer:
Coding/ debugging in high level language, proficiency in C, programming knowledge of any of the 2D/ 3D graphics APIs (OpenGL, OpenGL ES, OVG, D3DM/ DirectX), SQA/ testing qualifications.
