C# Senior Software Engineer / Software Engineer
Our client designs and manufactures electronic, electromechanical and software systems and equipment for the Transportation industry. They are now looking to recruit 2 Senior Software Engineers on a 6 month contract.
The Role - Senior Software Engineer required to design and implement new functionality for the communications subsystem. You will:
- Assist in producing detailed technical specificationsfor the software to be developed
- Design, implement and test the functionality using a Test-Driven Development methodology (using NUnit for unit testing)
- Provide technical assistance on the communications subsystem to other engineering functions
- Report to the team leader on performance against timescales, specifications and quality requirements. Identify any deviations from the plan and carry out corrective actions.
The Candidate - You will have worked in a similar Software Engineer role previously, You will have sufficient experience in:
- Software Development
- Microsoft development on Windows platforms
- Microsoft SQL Server experience(table design, stored procedures, query optimisation etc)
-Developing Windows Services and web services using C#
- HTTP, HTTP/ S and XML development
- Experience of TCP/ IP and other comms protocols
Experience of Object Orientated Design and implementation
