<b><u>The Company</ b></ u>

This highly ambitious firm are currently one of the UK's largest construction companies and they are currently looking for Health and Safety Manager/ Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join their highly experienced Health and Safety team in the North West.

Holding Health and Safety as a primary business value, this company are committed to meeting, and wherever possible, enhancing all Health and Safety requirements and to improving the reputation of construction industry worldwide. Reporting to the Regional Business Unit Leader the suitable Health and Safety Manager will be based in the North West with easy access to Liverpool and will be offering regional support throughout the North West but primarily Liverpool and a particular project in this area. As the successful Health and Safety Manager you will be responsible for promoting compliance and excellence in SHE matters. This Health and Safety Manager will also be expected to challenge this business unit in the North West to achieve exceptional standards.


<b><u>The Role</ b></ u>

As the ideal Health and Safety Manager you will be coaching and supporting project leaders and will be responsible for developing their leadership and management behaviour with a focus on Health, Safety and Environment. Part of this role for the Health and Safety Manager will be to identify Health, Safety and Environment training needs and monitor the training provision to ensure the business unit's needs are being met.

Other responsibilities for the Health and Safety manager in the North West region include ensuring the implementation of company systems and procedures within the business unit group and also demonstrating compliance to the Business unit leaders by being responsible for the undertaking of SMS audits.


<b><u>The Health and Safety Manager</ b></ u>

Due to the nature of the projects that you will be working on, as the successful health and Safety Manager it is an essential requirement that you have experience in structures, concrete, steel framework or stadiums in addition to strong Health, Safety and Environment knowledge.

To be suitable for this Liverpool based role you will have strong analytical skills and the ability to identify any problems beyond the surface and create the necessary plan and strategy to deal with such problems.

In addition you will have excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues of all levels and will have the ability to work with a number of teams whilst building rapport and credibility and you will be based within easy access to Liverpool/ the North West.

You will be qualified to a minimum of NEBOSH General certificate and any experience or recognised qualifications with regard to environmental management would be a distinct advantage.
