This leading international construction and project development company listed as one of the world's ten largest construction companies is currently looking to employ a Health, Safety and Environment Manager/ Senior Health, Safety and Environment Manager to join their Health and Safety team working on a new and exciting highways project in the South East.
<b><u>The Role of Health, Safety and Environment Manager</ b></ u>
As the suitable Health, Safety and Environment Manager you will be required to promote the continuous improvement of the company's Civil Engineering Safety Management System and advise, mentor and develop the Civil Engineering safety advisors working in the South East.
The ideal Health, Safety and Environment Manager will be required to participate in the development, review and continuous update of the Safety Management System.
You will also be advising and supporting all project personnel to enable them to manage their Health and Safety responsibilities in addition to assisting with the development of Health and Safety training for all project staff.
<b><u>You</ b></ u>
As the successful Health, Safety and Environment Manager you will be an excellent communicator with the ability to talk to staff at all levels including project staff, project and site managers, client representatives and all external client and contractor counterparts.
To be successful in this South East role it is essential that you have experience in Highways and any experience on MAC projects would be a distinct advantage.
An engineering or civils background would be favoured for the role of Health, Safety and Environment Manager. You will hold chartered membership of IOSH and be trained to NEBOSH Diploma standard on Health and Safety Law, Risk Management, Occupational Health and Behavioural aspects. An environmental management certificate (e.g. NVQ) would also be a distinct advantage.
