Software Engineer, J2ME, Portals, Central London
My client is a leading global publisher of mobile games, holding is a portfolio of top-rated games with titles based on major brands from recognised partners. Situated in a booming market and with hundreds of employees in many different locations throughout the world, the company is going from strength to strength, and as a result are offering the fantastic opportunity for a Software Engineer to join their skilled team.
The successful candidate will be porting games from lead builds into a wide variety of handsets and languages for new release deadlines, customising ports for specific customers (including pay per play, demos and embeds), evaluating new handsets, providing backfill support for released games and providing bugfixes for builds returned/ requested by carriers.
To be considered for this role, you will need to be highly skilled in Java (specifically J2ME), with experience in coding for J2ME applications (preferably games). A Degree in Computer Science or IT would be a bonus.
