The successful candidate will have experience of developing e-services preferably within a middleware architecture.Knowledge of security issues is also required and experience of managing a small product throughout the full lifecycle eg working with customers to define requirements, production of specification and development/ testing of the service is essential.
The following skills are essential:-
ASP.Net 2 using C# in a Visual Studio development environment (Version 2005)
SQL 2005
SSIS
HTML
XML handling and schemas
Web Services
System integration using web services and middleware
The following skills are preferable/ advantageous:-
Any experience of .Net 3.0 and 3.5 would be an advantage – particularly WCF (Windows Communications Foundation)
Web Services security using Microsoft wse 3.0
In addition to technical .Net and associated skills other key sills required include:-
Ability gathering business requirements, interpreting and developing these into a technical specification and ultimate solution
Good communication skills with ability to translate and demonstrate complex technical issues/ solutions to differing audiences
Have a keen eye for detail and attention to usability principles and the ‘customer experience’ is of paramount importance during the design and delivery of web applications
Ability to plan the development schedule by estimating timescales, identifying dependencies, issues and risks and agreeing iterative UAT stages and go-live timescales with the project.
