Software Engineer (Air Systems)

This world-leading organisation specialise in the air systems business, which is responsible for developing Command and Control Information systems. The company have a fantastic opportunity for a Software Engineer in the South West.

The company's core capabilities include airbase operation tools, ground-based air command and control systems, tactical data link management and support infrastructure.

Due to recent contract wins the company are looking to expand their Air Systems business and now require an enthusiastic Software Engineer (Air Systems).

Software Engineer (Air Systems) – Job Role:

Responsible for the development of Mission Management software including:
·Requirements analysis
·Software Design
·Implementation
·Verification
·Integration
·Liaising with customers and users
·Software modelling and design using UML
·Software implementation and unit test using Java, C, C++

Software Engineer (Air Systems) – Skills and Experience
Essential:
·Educated to degree level (BSc/ MSc in a relevant engineering discipline)or equivalent.
·Sufficient experience of Software Engineering
·Development of Software requirements
·Detailed understanding and experience of the full software development life-cycle and associated work products
·Skilled in Software Design using UML
·Skilled in Software Implementation using C++ and/ or Java
·Skilled in military software development.
Desirable:
·Requirements engineering using DOORS
·Software architectural design
·Oracle 9i/ 10g database development
·Data modelling
·Rose/ Rhapsody
·Clear Case/ Clear Quest
