C++/ SQL Server Developer - Redhill
Our client, a leading Transportation company, is currently recruiting for a C++/ SQL Server Software Engineer.
Key Responsibilities of the C++/ SQL Server Developer:
•Produce detailed estimates and technical specifications for proposals and budgeting purposes
•Design, implement and test changes to the existing systems
•Provide 3rd line support to production systems
•Analyse production faults and emerging requirements to determine the most effective course of action
•Provide technical assistance on the Wintel systems to other engineering functions within the company e.g. System Test
•Report to team leader on performance against timescales, specifications and quality requirements. Identify any deviations from the plan and carry out corrective acti
Essential Experience of the C++/ SQL Server Developer:
EssentialDesirable
•3+ years experience in software development
•3+ years of Microsoft C++ development on Windows platforms
•3+ years of extensive SQL Server optimization and administration experience, including stored procedures and triggers.
•Experience of Microsoft COM and MFC
•Experience of Object Oriented Design and implementation.HTTP, HTTP/ S and XML development
•Familiar with UML for design and specification of software components
•Experience of TCP/ IP, FTP and other comms protocols.
•Support and maintenance experience on production systems
•Knowledge of public key encryption technologies
•Involvement in TickIT, ISO9001 or ITIL based development processes
