Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Midlands
Rates: £25 per hour
Duration 3 - 6 months
We are currently looking for Quiality Engineer to join a leading manufacturing company serving the defence and aerospace industries.
You will become a key member of the Quality team with a number of responsibilities including:
·Continuous improvement
·Quality investigation and problem resolution
·Quality engineering on new projects
·Supplier evaluation and development
·QA support to the organisation
A suitable professional qualification in Quality Assurance, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing is essential, with at least five years experience within an aerospace / defence manufacturing environment.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
·IRCA registered Lead Auditor / Auditor qualification
·Detailed working knowledge of ISO 9001/ AS 9100 / AS 9102 systems and EASA part 21 / Part 145 and FAR 145 regulatory requirements
·Experience in working within cross functional project teams
·Excellent communication skills
·Ability to deal with customers and suppliers at all levels
The successful applicant will report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager.
It is expected that there will be UK and overseas travel associated with this appointment, with the successful candidate visiting the premises of both customers and suppliers.
