Experience – Type of experience and standard required
Essential:
• Minimum of 5 years experience of professional software development
• Minimum of 3 years development experience of Java (J2EE and Java SWING especially useful)
Desirable:
• Development experience in at least one major RDBMS (e.g. Sybase)
• Development experience of trade-capture systems
• Knowledge of any of the following business areas: Fixed Income, Money Markets and Derivatives
• Working knowledge of any of the following technologies:
o UNIX scripting (Bash, Korn etc)
o PERL
o BEA Weblogic
o XML / XSLT
o C++ or C#
o Oracle (Tangosol) Coherence
General Summary of the Position:
A software development professional is required in the Middle Office Technology team. This is a hands-on development role which may involve working closely with the business in order to implement changes to the existing trade capture platform for a range of fixed income, equity and derivative products.
