Data Analyst, Bank, City of London
Working in the Business Service Delivery Team, Solution Management within Enterprise Services. Solution Management is responsible for the Project Management of key areas within a process called ‘Request for Service' (RFS) ensuring operational delivery. Requests are submitted from various Business Lines within the investment Bank to request Technical Infrastructure to run applications. Each request goes through various cycles in order to reach a suitable solution for each Business line.
Solution Management's key role is to ensure the Technical Solution, Delivery Date and Solution costs are presented to each Business Area within a set Service Level Agreement (SLA).
•Manage and coordinate RFS Solution activities
•Facilitate Solution Design Group Meetings (Agenda and Minutes)
•Schedule and Chair Service Commitment Board Meetings
•Manage escalations
•Provide business intelligence reports on a regular basis
•Identify improvements to processes and reporting related to Solution Management
The Solution Analysts will need to have good interpersonal skills and be conformable communicating with various teams within the business and at various levels. Within this process reporting, updating data, data integrity checking, and ensuring that SLA, OLAs and key KPI's are meet are critical to the overall end to end management. Data manipulation and reporting are a key part of this role which includes a proactive approach to ensure the continuation and improvement of reporting.
Essential Technical skills
•Proficient use in: - Microsoft Access and Excel, Pivots, Macros, data manipulation and reporting
•Excellent Communication skills required (Written and verbal)
•Strong analysis and Problem Solving
•Willing to accept/ take responsibility and problem ownership
•Broad Knowledge of the operational and technical architectures within the
•Adaptable and willingness to change
Experience Required:Ideally worked as a Data Base Administrator or Data Analyst or is an SA or DBA wanting to branch out into a Service Delivery role and Project Coordination
