Exciting opportunity to join this leading Defence player. This new role requires an experienced Configuration Manager to deliver Configuration and Data management
process in to the LEAPP programme. It is expected that successful applicant will be capable of leading and providing direction in all matters relating to CM and DM within the Project whilst acting as the CM interface to the Customer and Supply chain.
The following bullets outline the role
Provision of day to day direction and administration to two project Configuration Analysts.
Liaison with Project Managers, IPT Leads and Supply Chain Managers to disceminate CM requirements and resolve issues.
Train Project staff on CM process and support the training of own CM staff.
Support the continued implementation of data management processes and thereafter continue to
manage all product data.
'Hands on' configuration management at System level including attendance and administration of
the Concept Screening Board and Integration Configuration Control Board.
Co-ordinate all Change to requirements from Customer and Supply chain.
To prepare for and support Physical and Functional Configuration audits and CM process audits.
Support the Configuration Management team in the development and delivery of a common and
consistant CM process across the Business.
ESSENTIAL Experience
Able to demonstrate experience of the Configuration management process from 'cradle to grave' as
defined by UK Standard DEF-STAN 05-57. Able to demonstrate Configuration management leadership capability and qualities. Be able to communicate to all levels of staff and be expereinced in the delivery of process improvement proposals to senior managers. An experienced problem solver demonstrating understanding and use of 'root cause analysis'. Able to demonstrate the ability to train others. Data Management experience. (delivery/ receipt and recording).
