A market leading Global FMCG in the Midlands is currently recruiting for an experienced AS400 RPG Analyst Programmer / Developer with Supply Chain / Warehouse / Distribution Systems experience (ideally Manhattan WmoS / PkMS / MMS / WMS / Red Prairie etc but training will be provided) to join their large established and expanding development team. Technically you will have proven RPG experience of developing AS/ 400 based business solutions, using some of the following: RPG IV, RPG400, ILE, CL, JDA and also an understanding of AS/ 400 database structures. We would also expect the successful candidate to have UNIX and SQL experience and well as strong Business Analysis skills. The position will involve writing and testing program code according to supplied business and technical requirements adhering to high standards; performing necessary analysis of business requirements, proposal and design of suitable technical solutions, support of existing legacy and business systems; investigation of problems and where required, proposal & implementation of solutions; unit and system testing of Legacy and Common business systems; and preparation of technical and/ or user facing documentation as required.
