Unix, Solaris, Linux (Red Hat), Administrator/ Administration, Hull, East Yorkshire
Unix Systems Administrator with strong commercial experience of Solaris 7, 8, 9 and 10 administration required for excellent opportunity in East Yorkshire. Working on mixed Solaris and Red Hat Linux operating systems the successful applicant should be able to demonstrate knowledge of additional Unix flavours other than Solaris. Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Server administration is therefore preferred.
Desirable skills include knowledge of Sun Cluster administration, MySQL, VMware and communication protocol experience (TCP/ IP, HTTP, SCP, FTP, SFTP). Applicants that have worked on NetApps, BIND or Exim would be an advantage but this is not essential.
Working within a specialist Unix team, you shall have responsibility for administering an IT dept. of over 50 seats. You should also be able to demonstrate experience of meeting deadlines to target, having a proactive attitude to your role and high documentation standards.
