Our client are Systems and Engineering practitioners, providing expertise to strengthen capability in defence and aerospace programmes. They are looking to recruit a Commercial Officer to join their Commercial Management team.
The Role: Commercial Officer
Location: Hampshire
Rate: c. £17ph - £22ph
Duration: 6 months
Start: Immediate
The Role: Commercial Officer
As Commercial Officer you will be responsible for:
+ Preparation of the commercial responses to PQQs, RFPs and ITTs as required
+ Interpretation of the commercial aspects of Customer requirements
+ Drafting of contract terms, including preferred shipment/ payment and any other special terms, in liaison with Commercial Manager as necessary
+ Drafting detailed Commercial Proposals addressing all aspects of a potential Customer's request for proposal
+ Contract management responsibility in liaison with the Commercial Manager for identified customers/ programmes as required
+ Drafting and management of Sub-contract Terms and Conditions
+ Maintenance of good working relationships with Customer's and Sub-contractor's staff
Experience:
As Commercial Officer you will have experience of:
+ UK civil and defence industry procurement procedures and practices
+ Contractual Terms & Conditions
+ Contract management and administration techniques
+ High level of competence in the use of PC based Microsoft software: Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
+ Some negotiation experience
+ Good planning, organisational and administrative skills
