A Webmaster with strong DHTML/ HTML, COM, SGML, XML and Java is required by a leading edge company based in the Isle of Man enjoying fantastic office space and an impressive views over looking Douglas Harbour.
Senior Technical Webmaster
Description
You will have day to day responsibility for live corporate websites.
Corporate websites are high throughput high visibility sites and you will need to take pride in their appearance from both design and technical perspectives. Strong adherence to technical standards is expected at all times.
You will be able to work with an array of popular image editing and code editing toolsets, as well as be familiar with robust Internet web site hosting operating systems and server software.
Skills in general development lifecycles will be required to maintain and use the in-house development environment. Specialised knowledge of HTML standards, XML, XSL, HTTP response codes, HTTP server logs, log analysis is expected of you.
You will also be required to work with rich media content and a knowledge of Streaming, Flash, Real Media and Windows Media formats is required to allow the production of vibrant rich media experiences for our users.
They are currently introducing a range of new systems and procedures and your input on these will be required, initial projects will include introducing a content management system and collaborative working / version control so previous experience in product analysis, vendor selection and implementation in these areas is a prerequisite.
Prior experience of designing and authoring procedures for high pressure pre-production and production environments is required as they are an evolving company and new policies and procedures will need to be created and implemented as the need arises.
You will be called upon to project manage some middle to large size projects so evidence of previous successful experience here is required as well.
