LINUX / UNIX SYSTEMS ADMIN - INVESTMENT BANKING - LONDON
RedHat Linux, Solaris 8-10, VxFS, VxVM, VCS, TCP/ IP protocol, including DHCP and DNS, UNIX Shell Scripting / Perl, SAN EMC and NetApp exposure.
Leading Investment Bank has an urgent requirement for a HIGHLY SKILLED LINUX / Solaris Systems Administrator.
This role sits in the production support team and will give you excellent exposure to 3rd line support and project work.
Your Key strength will be in administration of RedHat Enterprise Linux Servers but you will also be strong in the Solaris field.
Ideally you will be RHCE.
Due to the nature of this environment, Investment Banking / Finance will be essential.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
• RHEL 3.0 and above
• Solaris 8-10
• Veritas File system, Volume Manager and Cluster products
• Performance management and capacity planning
• Prioritise workload and monitor deliverables
• RHCE / Solaris certifications preferable
• Knowledge of the TCP/ IP protocol, including DHCP and DNS.
• Experience supporting SAN attached servers, preferably with EMC and NetApp exposure.
• UNIX Shell Scripting / Perl
• Experience supporting server backups, preferably Tivoli.
