Great opportunity for a good manager with strong C++ development experience wanting to face fresh challenges in the media domain. My client is the market leader in online better across Europe and the Far East and is looking to invest in a fresh new team. Team members of all levels are required but the standard required is very high. You will have the role of building up this team to strength of 12.
A strong academic background and a proven track record in Greenfield development is a must. The successful candidate will need to have a good knowledge of C++, STL, Perlm, UNIX, VB, TCP/ IP and HTTP. A good understanding of Java, J2EE and XML is an advantage but not essential. And proven experience in leadership, mentoring as well as appraisals and hiring.
My client is after a self motivated, good communicator with the ability to speak to both colleges and clients
•Personality will be of equal importance – bright with good business sense, most likely with good academics, open and adaptable, looking for a real challenge and passionate about their chosen career
•An engineer that wants to go that bit further – continually striving and experimenting to create the very best software
•Analytical, logical and quick thinking with a positive ‘can do' attitude, able to back up their beliefs with a deep understanding of all aspects of software engineering and sound knowledge of ‘what is happening under the surface'. Have the vision and drive to champion the company's software development strategy and to inspire others with your abilities.
•1st degree in a science or engineering discipline (at least 2.1), or an equivalent skills set.
