Great Linux / Unix Support Job
SUPPORT on LINUX and Unix in East-end of
Berkshire (THAMES VALLEY) and with the possibility of meeting Clients / occasional travel) & paying a good salary in the region of £36,000pa to £44,000pa (as a BASIC...!) + PENSION + bens.
It is a great Linux & UNIX Support role with really good people in an already-experienced department, so plenty of excellent people to learn from (it's Gr8 here..!!)
U should will already have solid experience of supporting BIG LINUX / UNIX / SOLARIS Systems, be a good communicator and you MUST also be very Fluent in English as you will ultimately have Customer-contact...
The work needs some Shell Scripting, ksh scripting + some Perl, The usual Network Admin skills / TCP/ IP, a suitable qualification (in relevant subject) + some form of Telecomm's signalling (SS7 or SIGTRAN...)
This will provide a tremendous stream of fresh challenges and new skills (AND necessary increases in seniority & salary)
