Fantastic opportunity to work for an award winning organisation based in Manchester. My client is looking for a 3rd line technical support specialist, who can also help manage a small helpdesk of five 1st and 2nd line support analysts.
The role will involve mentoring members of the team, prioritising their work load, motivating and supervising, ensuring the helpdesk meets SLA's and service agreements, and provide technical support expertise as and when necessary. It shall also involve hands on technical support, including networking and desktop support, in a multiplatform environment.
This role will involve some customer facing responsibilities, so we are ideally looking for a presentable individual with good communication skills.
Ideally you will have good knowledge of Microsoft systems, and perhaps be familiar with other areas of IT such as Novell, Citrix, Cisco etc etc.
Primarily we need a hardworking and enthusiastic individual to ensure the smooth running of the helpdesk and provide hands on technical 3rd line support when needed to a diverse customer base.
