My Client has a brand new division dedicated to providing online business support services. Based upon extensive research, the division seeks to understand the needs of its business customers to offer services that generate step-change opportunities that embed performance improvement.
The company is expanding and seeking a PHP Software Developer who has a proven track record of internet development and successful project delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities:

As a PHP Software Developer you will:

•Provide development resource on projects
•Work with the lead developer to build web based solutions
•Support the architecture and technical design of S-cool products
•Support project estimation and planning

You will fill a key role on an ‘Agile' development team, ensuring that the technical solution meets the business needs. You will typically be working as part of a multi-skilled team including project management, business analysis, test and creative design team members.

Experience:

The following skills are required:

Demonstrate a detailed practical knowledge of PHP and Open Source Technologies:
oPHP
oMySQL or PostgreSQL database design and development
Knowledge of internet technologies such as
oHTML and JavaScript
oCSS
oXML and XSLT
oWeb Services
oAJAX
Demonstrate an understanding of Object Oriented modelling, design and development and be a confident developer
oHave good inter-personal skills
oHave good written and verbal communication skills
oHave proven team working abilities

•Demonstrate an understanding of development methodologies, ideally with a background of Agile development
•Demonstrate a track record of successful delivery of complex large scale web development projects
•Knowledge of Linux or FreeBSD configuration and management

The following skills are desirable:
•UML
•A background of e-Commerce or e-Business applications development

Location: Greater Manchester (north),
Salary: Salary range £25,000 to £30,000 with benefits, subject to candidate's experience
